     Milk is our first food after the birth. We cannot imagine our life without dairy products at present. Such products are necessary not only to growing organism, but to mature organism, too. Dairy products give human organism valuable, well-balanced nutrients: proteins, fats, hydrocarbons, vitamins, enzymes and mineral salts. There are over one hundred valuable nutrients in total. Most important milk-component according to the principles of rational nutrition is proteins. Milk and dairy products must amount up to one third of daily energy derived by food.
     Industrial production of dairy products and processing of milk in Lithuania began at the end of XVI century.
